UNIT VII.5: Percentage Yield and Percentage Purity
Group Members: Frederick Lee, Carmen Lee, Carina Landgraf
Percentage Yield: Percentage yield is the amount of product produced as a percent of the theoretical amount obtainable.
Percentage yield is calculated by dividing the product mass by the theoretical mass.
Percentage Purity:** Percentage purity is how "pure" the product is (how much of the final product is actually the substance wanted).
Percentage purity is calculated by dividing the mass of the theoretical mass of the pure substance by the mass of the impure substance obtained.
